Fedora 17 Released With jbose Application server and 60 more features Free Download



As Fedora 17 Beta released before almost one month before.Fedora Linux 17, dubbed as ‘Beefy Miracle’ has finally Launched. The free and open source operating system has finally been announced and Robyn Bergeron, Fedora Project Leader, announced that, “(Fedora is) a comprehensive and robust operating system for all types of users. I am extremely proud of the Fedora 17 release”. Fedora 17 comes with more than 60 new features and projects like oVirt, JBoss Application Server 7 and improvements in OpenStack with additional support for latest releases of desktop environments. PC World’s Katherine Noyes had a chat with Bergeron who told her, “I think there is a greater emphasis on not just the under-the-hood and desktop features we normally focus on, but we're also starting to see a greater influx of other large open source projects as well. You'll see JBoss 7, which is not a simple feature. Another one is OpenStack--we've gone from dabbling in it to having the full force of the Essex release.”

One of the features of Fedora 17’s desktop features include GNOME 3.4 which comes updated with search capabilities, improved themes. GIMP 2.8 is another that has got a couple of enhancements in tow. They’re planning to bring in some interesting updates in the next couple of releases as well. Along with these features, JBoss Application Server 7, which is a pre release of Juno Eclipse SDK and Java 7 for developers, is also being introduced.

Fedora 17 has been Release in 4 desktop Editions-Fedora 17 Desktop Edition,Fedora 17 KDE Spin,Fedora 17 LXDE Spin,Fedora 17 Xfce Spin In both 16 bit and 32 bit.
